Teaching and Practicing Democracy Everyday

Border Interfaith is a broad-based community organization affiliated with the Industrial Areas Foundation that develops leadership through education and interfaith relationships for effective democratic practices and meaningful community service.  Border Interfaith, formerly the Westside Interfaith Alliance, grew out of a series of meetings held by local clergy in 1999.  Convinced that El Paso could be a better place to live - better schools, better jobs, healthier citizens - these community leaders created a sponsoring committee with a simple goal: to establish a broad-based organization and work toward a shared vision.
